After many years of raising a family, I finally decided it was time to go back to doing something I have always been drawn to..... ART!
The only regret I have is that I didn't do it a lot sooner.
I am still a hairstylist 4 days a week... not ready to trade it for a full time easel job. I find that the work at the easel can be very inspiring however it can mean a fair amount of "alone" time. So keeping my hands in the hair business keeps me well rounded with some social interaction. Besides, I see my clients as potential "canvas" for me to create on too! As you can see I keep pretty busy.
I really love what I am doing with art because of the challenges each piece can present.The first year I was back into art I was blessed to win a NH State contest with that piece going on to win at the national level. You can imagine my excitement! It has given me the confidence to continue.
